Project Open Gates

Project Open Gates, located in the Lighthouse Distribution Center, welcomes & assists new immigrants making Aliyah (homecoming to Israel) from many countries around the world.

Project Open Gates serves new Israeli immigrants in their first three years in the land by providing them with high quality garments from the nations, household items and food vouchers. They also assist the elderly (pensioners, survivors and war veterans) as well as needy from all walks of life. Students in school may receive a voucher for textbooks. Financial help is given in extreme financial hardship. Open Gates also offers language classes for those desiring to learn English. Since Project Open Gates reopened after a long remodel period in August 2011, there have been approximately 4,000 visitors at the Lighthouse D.C.

"I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth." (Isaiah 43:5, 6)

"I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. I will bring them back home to their own land of Israel from among the peoples and nations." (Ezekiel 34:12-13a)
