Reaching out to Victims of Rocket Attack
None of the governments in the world, except Israel, whose actions of defending her civilians from constant rocket attack will be condemned. For 10 years now the communities of southern part of Israel, especially the city of Sderot, have been under constant rockets attack firing from Hamas ruled Gaza. The civilians have suffered physical injuries, depression, sleepless night, severe anxiety and have trouble going back to a regular routine that they have to take anti-depressants on regular basis. There is an added stress - the finance of many families is in dire situation, because they have difficulty to find employment, as many industries moved out of this area because of the constant rocket attack.
Children on the other hand, develop symptoms of PTSD early on. Many of them suffer sleeping disorders, nightmares, anxiety, regression, going back to wetting their beds and having learning difficulties in schools. Younger children go back to the bottle, or to the pacifier, and have extreme difficulty separating from their parents.
These children were born into the reality of constant rocket attack. The world appears to them as unsafe and scary, full of insecurity and chaos. Their sense of security has been shattered by the continuous fire.
Bringing Light and Hope to Those in Despair
“Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter….Revive me, O Lord, for Your name's sake! For Your righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.” ( Psalm 143: 9, 11)
This is the heart cry of the children and adults living in the communities under siege. With the financial support given by Christians in the nations, Project CUA has been bringing Light and Hope to those sitting in darkness of despair, those who often time feel that they have been forgotten by the world and that nobody see their misery.
Thank you for your prayer and financial support to Project CUA as we reach out the besieged and traumatized victims of rocket attack in south Israel with the love of our Lord.
